Talk soon,
Sam

Hello!

On my mind

I enjoy talking about the current state of the Middle East and the many different, interconnected forces at play, whether it's Israel-Hamas; the Tehran-backed proxy forces spread throughout the region; Saudi Arabia's intriguing role as both a protector of Islam that is sympathetic to the Palestinian cause while also countenancing the prospect of peace and normalization with Israel to further its own regional ambitions.

Excited to talk with readers about...

The Middle East today or in the past; antisemitism in America and Europe; Israel-Palestine; Islamic Republic of Iran; journalism in the Middle East; reporting on sensitive topics while recognizing your own biases.

Looking forward to speaking with you,

Johnny
